Since the end of 2019 until now, the world was in ciaos due to the existence of this very horrible, traitor and deadly virus. Many lives were lost. Everything has changed. These pandemic leads to the closure of many establishments, schools, amusement parks, malls, grocery stores, and even market places. People are panicking, and don't know what to do which resulted to suicide. During the early stage of these pandemic there were shortage of many things: food, sanitary materials, and most specially mask. Studies were affected too. Parents don't want to bring their kids in the school and students are hesitant to go to school as well.
The purpose of these blog is to give insights to parents for an alternative way of schooling which is a "HOME BASED LEARNING". As a teacher, I discovered advantages and disadvantages of learning at home:
ADVANTAGES:
1. Develop students to become independent. If in the school they are being spoon feed by their teachers, learning at home will be self-learning. They have to understand the lesson by themselves.
2. Strengthen parent-child relationship. This is the time which parents is able to be hands on on the learning of their kids in doing home works or projects.
3. Improve academically. Since parents are helping their kids in learning the subjects, they will have an efficient time in doing the work and study the lesson.
DISADVANTAGES:
1. Social skills will be affected. A very great impact to this pandemic is the social aspect of the students. They will have no time to play with other kids or talk with them.
2. Enhance laziness. Students are becoming lazy at this time. They don't need to wake up early or maybe they can attend the class without taking shower or just lying down while learning.
3. Loss interest to learn. Students whos parents don't care about their children's studies will loss their interest towards learning.
